Homemade Granola

Store-Bought granola often adds processed sugar and are high in saturated fats, a homemade granola recipe allows you to make it healthier and the way you love. It is tastier, healthier, and cheaper than the store-bought version. Making granola in your own kitchen isn’t hard, time-consuming, or expensive. Set aside 30 min every weekend to spend with a mixing bowl, a baking tray, and an oven, creating your own breakfast cereal to get you through the next week.

Ingredients:

  • 2.5 cups gluten-free oats
  • 1/2 cup uncooked quinoa
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup hemp seeds
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup almonds, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup coconut flakes
  • 2 heaping tbsp your favorite nut butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp vanilla

 

Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350 D. F. Stir all the granola ingredients in a large bowl until well combined. Pour the mixture on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and spread flat across the tray. Bake for 15 min then pull out of the oven and gently toss the granola over then bake for another 5 to 10 min, until golden brown. Keep an eye on the granola towards the end to make sure it doesn’t over bake.
